Why complete parameters make the quote faster
Custom industrial brushes are rarely quoted from a single standard model. Mounting space, shaft interface, filament material, speed, and working environment all affect the structure review.
When key information is prepared before the RFQ, the first conversation becomes a technical review rather than repeated information collection. For replacement projects, old brush photos, nameplates, installation positions, and measured dimensions are often more useful than a short description.
Basic information to prepare
Start with dimensions: overall length, brush face length, OD, ID, trim length, shaft diameter, keyway, flange holes, and mounting direction. Then confirm material information such as nylon, PP, steel wire, brass wire, abrasive filament, or other special filaments.
Working conditions are also important: dry dust, wet area, washdown, oil, chemicals, food-adjacent lines, high temperature, low temperature, or high-speed rotation. Quantity and lead time affect how samples and batch production are reviewed.
What if there is no drawing?
A drawing is helpful but not always required for the first discussion. You can provide old brush photos, installation photos, measurement photos with calipers, machine model, current problem, and target result.
For precision mounting, higher speed, or repeat orders, it is still recommended to organize a traceable specification record for future procurement.
